About my business:

My husband, Patrick, and I are the owners of KitchenArt, a kitchen and bath design company. We have over 15 years of combined experience designing kitchens and baths in Madison, Chicago and Grand Cayman. We provide our clients with:

1. creative, custom designs for any area of their home (kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, media center and more) that reflect their personality and lifestyle.

2. quality custom cabinetry to suit a wide range of budgets.

3. full service from the beginning of the job to the end, for more reasonable prices than our competitors.

We work out of our home to keep overhead costs low and to pass the savings on to our clients. We have hundreds of samples of finishes, door styles, hardware and countertop materials and colors; so in essence, we bring the showroom to the client. We also showcase our designs and products in our home for clients to see (by appointment only).

Things to keep in mind when choosing a Kitchen Designer:

1. Ask to see their portfolio so you can see the type of work they have done in the past.

2. Ask to see their references. Call previous clients and ask how their experience was and if they would recommend the designer to their friends.

3. Ask if there are any fees upfront such as a consultation fee or a design fee.

4. Ask a lot of questions to be sure that they will provide you with the personal attention that you deserve.

5. Finally, make sure that they will provide full service from the beginning of the job until the end - their services and attention shouldn't stop when you sign the contract!

Quick Biography:

I was born and raised in Madison, WI and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Edgewood College in Madison in 2002. During one of many business trips to the Cayman Islands, I met my husband, Patrick, who lived and worked there as a Kitchen Designer. In 2005, I moved to Grand Cayman to live and work with Patrick at a Kitchen Design Studio. We moved back to Verona, WI in February 2007 to start our own Kitchen Design business and be closer to family.
